Jackson goes to the beach!

On MLK day, we drove down to Galveston. It was a beautiful day. We put Jackson on the sand and let him crawl around. He loved his taste (literally) of the sand and the water. :) I can't wait until he can get into the water.

At the house

Jackson has been spending as much time as he can with his new friend Flynn. Also, since Troy's case settled, we've both enjoyed much more time with him. woo-hoo!

Jackson is 6 months old!!

I can't believe six months have past since Jackson was born. I don't think time has ever gone so quickly and slowly at the same time. He is more wonderful every day. I love him more than I ever thought possible.

Visit with Auntie V

Vanessa was here to visit recently. We also got to see her tiny baby bump---Baby Mazry is due in May. We had a lot of fun, and Jackson broke her in quickly with both a huge spit up and an explosive diaper in the first hour. V will be a most wonderful mother.

Jackson is crawling!!!

One week before he turned 6 months, Jackson started to really crawl. He's up on hands and knees and all over the house. It is amazing how fast it happens. I will have to get Troy to upload the video. Also, how cute is he in his baby Crocs?

Christmas with Grana and Poppy

Jackson rounded out his Christmas festivities when his Grana and Poppy came to Houston for a visit. Fun was had by all! He was trying really hard to crawl, slithering on the floor and rocking back and forth on his hands and knees. It won't be long.

Happy New Year!

We celebrated New Year's Eve at home this year, but I think Troy was the only one to make it to see the ball drop.

Visit with Friends

At the end of December, Jackson shared some sweet kisses with Lucy, met my friend Liz, and spent some time at the children's museum with his friend Everett. He seemed to like himself most of all at the museum.

Christmas in Hondo

The day after Christmas, we traveled to Hondo to see Pop and the great-grands. It was a crazy time...Jackson has gotten so much better in the car, but he doesn't sleep as well at our destination. SO, Troy and I were half sleep-deprived by the time we got to Hondo. Still, it was good to see everyone. Jackson likes playing with his cousins, too.

Christmas in Austin

We traveled to Austin for Christmas with Jams, John, William, and Jessica.

Christmas in Houston

We had a Christmas with Uncle John one night. Then, we had a little family Christmas before traveling around to visit family. Jackson enjoyed the paper and the bows more than anything, I think. He loaded up in true fashion as the first grandchild on both sides...but I am getting ahead of myself.
