Jackson the Plumber

After a hard day of yard work, we finished the night off with a hot water handle that broke off while the hot water was running. Home Depot didn't have the proper part, neither did Super Wal-Mart---but my manly men had the water fixed first thing in morning after a quick trip at 7 am to Lowe's.

Jackson and the bluebonnets

I took Jackson to get pictures of him in the bluebonnets this week. Unfortunately, he was not in the mood for pictures in the flowers. You can see for yourself how much fun we had!!

Jackson's Busy Week

This past week Jackson mastered a number of things: he got his 4th tooth, he started clapping when he likes things that he does or that you do, and he conquered the art of carrying an item while crawling (ie carrying it in your mouth). We are very proud of him! :) He is busier by the week and putting everything in his mouth. He's keeping us BUSY.

Play time with Lucy

Last Sunday, Cheri and Lucy came over for a little play time. It's fun to see Lucy and Jackson interacting---Lucy is definitely dominating at this point since she's older and completely mobile, but I think Jackson will be a force to be reckoned with when he starts walking. Mostly, they are sweet with each other, as you will see Lucy kissing Jackson.

Jackson at the RODEO

We took Jackson to the rodeo on Friday for a chance to get up close and personal with animals of all shapes and sizes. He only really seemed to care about the chicks in the incubator--he didn't care about the cows, the sheep, the goats, the pigs, the rabbits, you get the picture... We had a good time seeing the sights and taking advantage of all the perks Troy earned by being a member of the Rodeo Express, one of the volunteer committees.

Jackson plays with his Daddy

Jackson and Troy spent some time with toys and balls this afternoon. Jackson has started this thing where he holds a ball in each hand and then he holds his arms up over his head, as if a conquering gladiator...very cute!! He also has a very cute pair of sunglasses, but he resisted being photographed while wearing them.

Jackson's first trip of Spring to Onion Creek

The weather here has been so nice that Troy and I strolled Jackson to Onion Creek one night this past week. We had a glass of wine, and he had sweet potatoes and pears. It was a fun little evening for all!

Jackson goes to the park

Jackson and I met Molly and Everett this past week for some fun at the park. Jackson was a big fan of the swing. Jackson played with Everett's ball and spent some time in the swing. Everett is so big and talking so much---so many exciting things for the future!

Play time with Flynn

On most days of the week, Jackson can be found playing with his friend Flynn. Here are a couple shots from this past week. There's also a picture of Flynn and his momma Emma.

Jackson's First Weekend Away

At the beginning of March, Jackson spent Friday and Saturday nights with his Grana and his Poppy. Troy was in a wedding in Fort Worth, and they offered to keep him so that we could enjoy all of the festivities. He did great, and fun was had by all! Just FYI- the picture in the car is a break for Jackson while we were stopped at a gas station--we're not driving around with him in the front seat.

Puree Sessions

My girlfriend Emma and I get together to make baby food for our sweet babes. It's more fun to do it together, and there's an extra hand to help out with the kiddos. The fingers on the table belong to Jackson.

Jackson's First Vacation

We went to Club Med Ixtapa for 7 nights. We thought we would leave Jackson for half days at the baby club, but he was having none of it. We ended up having lots of family time. It was really nice to get away and relax. Troy took Jackson on long walks every morning, we spent time by the pool, and we watched the sun set into the Pacific Ocean to live music. It was a really good week.

Valentine's Day

Jackson got some great bath toys and a fun outfit to wear on vacation for Valentine's Day. We had a really nice day.

Hanging around the house

Jackson is pulling up on everything now. He is so sweet and happy. We love him so much and know we're blessed to be his parents.
